Write down which devices you want to run and for how long. Lighting, device charging and a refrigerator create a different requirement from high-power cooking or air conditioning. Tell us whether you stay parked for several days, drive daily or connect to shore power regularly. A solar panel rating alone cannot promise a particular camping runtime.
Look at the complete system
Usable battery capacity, compatible charging equipment, wiring, fusing, mounting and monitoring all affect the design. Existing components may be reusable, but their ratings and condition need review. Photos of battery labels, the converter, inverter and solar controller help us prepare a meaningful estimate without booking an installation first.
Compare package inclusions carefully
Our solar packages describe the panel capacity and included controller/battery scope. Larger arrays are not automatically the right answer for every RV. Roof space, shading, travel style and battery chemistry influence the recommendation. Victron Energy controllers, inverter/chargers, DC-DC charging and monitoring can be specified in a custom estimate where suitable. A Victron option is not a promise that every base package contains that brand.
Plan a handover
Ask for the agreed equipment list, operating explanation and relevant manufacturer documents after installation. Understand normal monitoring readings and what to report if charging seems different. If you expect future expansion, explain that before ordering: space, cable routes and component ratings can affect what an economical next stage looks like. All additional equipment and scope changes are approved separately.
