Seasonal maintenance
What belongs in a Calgary RV pre-season service?
A practical guide to water, propane, bearings, brakes, batteries and weather seals before your first trip.
BlueBeaver RV Service · September 13, 2026Start with the trailer you actually have
A seasonal appointment should be planned around axle count, installed appliances and storage conditions. Share the year, make and model, whether the unit is still winterized, and any problems noticed when it was parked. Tell us your first planned travel date, but leave time for parts and follow-up work if the inspection uncovers a concern.
Water and appliance checks
BlueBeaver’s complete pre-season trailer scope includes de-winterizing where applicable, pump and accessible plumbing checks, and water-heater connections and basic operation. Propane checks cover the agreed leak/pressure test, accessible components and supported appliance operation. A sanitizing flush is an optional add-on; flushing antifreeze and sanitizing are different tasks. Make water, suitable power and fuel available when safe.
Running gear and electrical
The package includes hub removal, bearing inspection and lubrication, new grease seals, brake inspection and adjustment, and visible suspension checks. Tire condition, age and pressure are reviewed, including the spare. Battery condition, accessible terminals and cables, converter output, 12V operation, lights and basic shore-power function are reviewed. Repairs and replacement components beyond the stated inclusions need separate approval.
Finish with a written plan
Accessible roof/body seals, exterior compartments, awning and safety equipment are reviewed. Ask which systems were not tested and why. Keep the report with your service history, separate urgent findings from routine maintenance, and agree any additional work before the trip. This package is for trailer preparation; it is not a motorhome drivetrain inspection or a government certification.
